The scheme "Assistance to Scheduled Castes for Fisheries" with the component of "Fish Collection Cum Patrolling Boat" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to increase fish production in reservoirs and provide employment to Scheduled Caste (SC) individuals engaged in inland fisheries. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided for purchasing fish collection cum patrolling boats, thereby supporting SC leaseholders involved in reservoir-based fisheries. The scheme is implemented by the Commissioner of Fisheries, Government of Gujarat. Objectives:
- To increase fish production by rearing fish in reservoirs and provide employment to scheduled caste (SC) people involved in inland fisheries activities.
- To boost fish farming or fishing activities in freshwater bodies by scheduled caste (SC) fish farmers and fishermen.
- Fishing in reservoirs, aquaculture in ponds, and catch from rivers increase fish production and boost inland fisheries through scheduled caste (SC) fish farmers and fishermen.

Registration Process:
Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the I-Khedut Portal. Step 2: Click on 'Login' from the top right-hand side, then click on "Beneficiary Registration" and select any one from the 'Farmer' or 'Institutional' or 'Except For the Farmer' as the Beneficiary Type. Step 3: Enter the 'Company Name' and Address if you have selected 'Institutional' or 'Except For the Farmer' as the Beneficiary Type. And for all select the District, Taluka, and Village, choose 'what type of account holder you are?', enter your Account Number and Name, solve the Captcha, and click 'Save and Next'. Step 4: Enter your Mobile Number and E-mail address, click 'Send OTP', enter the received OTP, create and confirm a Password, solve the Captcha, and click 'Submit'.
