The scheme "Assistance to Scheduled Castes for Fisheries" with the component of "Training of Scheduled Caste Trainees" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to increase fish production and provide employment opportunities to Scheduled Caste (SC) people engaged in inland fisheries activities. Through this scheme, financial assistance in the form of a stipend is provided to SC beneficiaries undergoing fisheries training to enhance their knowledge and skills. The scheme is implemented by the Commissioner of Fisheries, Government of Gujarat. Objectives:
