Details An initiative of the Gujarat government helping many girls in the state to complete higher education. Under this scheme, girls are provided financial assistance as per their respective studies. The Scheduled Caste girls who are not eligible for Post-SSC Scholarship due to having more than two children of employed parents or income of the family is more, even such girls can get scholarships from State Government for post-SSC studies. All girl residents of Gujarat can avail benefits under this scheme.
Benefits
- Academic allowance (per year):
- Group A: ₹13,500 (hosteller) / ₹7,000 (day scholar)
- Group B: ₹9,500 (hosteller) / ₹6,500 (day scholar)
- Group C: ₹6,000 (hosteller) / ₹3,000 (day scholar)
- Group D: ₹4,000 (hosteller) / ₹2,500 (day scholar)
- Approved tuition fees reimbursed separately
- Additional disability allowance for students with disabilities
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Must be a Scheduled Caste girl student residing in Gujarat
- For diploma courses: must have scored 50% or above in Class 10 or 12
- For graduate courses: must have scored 50% or above in Class 12
- Family income must be more than ₹2.5 lakh per year
- Must meet all conditions of the Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship guidelines (but be ineligible due to income or other reasons)
