Coir Board is implementing the Central Sector Scheme “Export Market Promotion Scheme” with a view to improving the export performance of the Indian Coir Sector through various export market promotion activities such as sponsoring delegations, participation in seminars and conferences, organizing participation in international fairs, undertaking generic publicity abroad, extending financial assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Exporters, presenting Coir Industry Awards on an annual basis to recognize the outstanding performance in the areas of export, domestic trade, R&D, functioning of units & societies etc. The programmes are implemented in accordance with the approved Export Market Promotion Guidelines.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

  • Must be a manufacturer, entrepreneur, or exporter of coir or coir products

  • Must not be charged, debarred, or blacklisted under India's Foreign Trade Policy or by the Coir Board

How to Apply

  1. Register as an exporter and obtain RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) from the Coir Board.
  2. Apply for Export Market Development Assistance (EMDA) for specific promotional activities.
  3. Attach MSME registration, IE Code copy, and financial status certificate.
  4. Participate in the approved international fair, seminar, or buyer-seller meet.
  5. Submit expense proof for reimbursement under EMDA.

Freight charges- Actual subject to a maximum of [?]25,000/- in foreign countries and [?]20,000/- in India- per exporter/enterprise.

Which types of entrepreneurs are not eligible for assistance?

The Enterprise/exporter charged/debarred/ prosecuted/ blacklisted under the Foreign Trade Policy of the Government of India or by the Coir Board will not be eligible to apply under the scheme.
