The “Indo-French Postdoctoral Research Programme for Women in Science (PROWIS-I)” is dedicated to the young women scientists of both India and France. This programme will provide a platform for women candidates to engage & work with Indian/French scientific communities with an aim to accelerate their talented instincts towards carrying out advanced studies and research in the frontier areas of Science & Technology.
Duration of Fellowship:
The duration of the Fellowship will be for a period of three to four months.
Benefits
- Indian women visiting France: €2,000/month fellowship plus miscellaneous allowances and return international airfare
- French women visiting India: ₹90,000/month fellowship plus miscellaneous allowances and return international airfare
- Duration: 3–4 months
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Must be an Indian or French women scientist at a recognized university or research institution
- Indian applicants: must hold a Ph.D. and a permanent or sanctioned position at a scientific/academic institution in India
- French applicants: must hold a Ph.D. and currently be completing a postdoctoral project in France
- Must not have availed any postdoctoral fellowship in France/India in the past 5 years
- Cannot be held simultaneously with any other fellowship
- Preference given to candidates without prior international exposure and those with R&D publications
