Launched in 2010, the scheme "Khel Mahakumbh" by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to foster sportsmanship, encourage mass participation in sporting events, and recognize talent across all age groups through free sports services, structured competitions, and significant monetary rewards. The scheme has witnessed continuous growth in participation since its inception and provides opportunities for outstanding performers to benefit from further sports training and development schemes under the Sports Authority of Gujarat. The scheme is implemented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Must be a native of Gujarat, or have been living, studying, or working in Gujarat for at least 2 years
- Students must register from the taluka/district where their school or college is located
- Employees transferred from outside Gujarat must have been in the district for at least 6 months before the registration date
- Can register for a maximum of 2 sports
