The National Productivity Council (NPC) of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion Ministry of Commerce & Industry provides internship training to students pursuing graduation and post-graduation. The interns shall be given exposure to related interventions being activities undertaken by NPC’s which will provide opportunities to learn and implement new concepts as well as develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of IT-enabled interventions through the hands-on application of the knowledge students learned during their course curriculum.

Industrial Engineering (IE), Environment Management(EN), Energy Management(EM), Agribusiness Services(AB), Economic Services(ES), Information Technology (IT) and Advanced Manufacturing & Industry 4.0.

Duration

  1. The internship duration shall be for a period of two months.

  2. The internship program shall be effective from the first week of June.

  3. The internship period may be extendable, if required, on an individual case-to-case basis for a further mutually agreed duration.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

  • Must be a citizen of India
  • Must be currently pursuing graduation or post-graduation
  • Must not have already applied for NPC internship in the current financial year
  • For IT stream: strong communication, graphic design (Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator), or programming skills (Java, Python, HTML, AI/ML) are preferred

Step 1: The eligible and interested students should submit the duly filled and signed application form as per the prescribed format, along with the required documents (self-attested) to the college/institution. The Applicant should specifically mention the duration for which she/he wishes to undertake an internship. A7. Yes, NPC has the authority to terminate an intern's engagement or program at any time, especially in cases of misconduct or discipline, without providing any reason. NPC's decision in this regard is considered final.

A8. Yes, interns can voluntarily leave the internship program by giving prior notice of seven (07) working days to the concerned Head. However, if an intern leaves the program voluntarily, they will not be awarded a certificate.
