The scheme “Large Biofloc Establishment (50 tanks 4-meter diameter and 1.5-meter height) Culture System” is a component under the “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY-Inland)” scheme, implemented by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to increase fish production by rearing fish in reservoirs, provide employment to people involved in inland fisheries activities, accelerate inland fish farming activities in freshwater bodies, and boost inland fisheries. Under this scheme, subsidies for establishing Biofloc and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) are provided to individuals, societies, self-help groups, associations, reservoir lease holders, and private entities involved in inland fisheries activities.
