A scholarship scheme by AICTE, MoE for Girl Students admitted in 1st or 2nd Year of the technical diploma course in an AICTE approved institution. A maximum of two girl children per family are eligible to avail of the benefits. The benefits are provided for a period of maximum of 3 years for first-year admitted students and a maximum of 2 years for second-year admitted students through lateral entry.
This scheme is an attempt to give young women the opportunity to further their education and prepare for a successful future by empowering Women through knowledge, skill, and self-confidence.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Must be a girl student enrolled in Year 1 of a technical diploma course (or Year 2 via lateral entry)
- The course must be at an AICTE-approved institution
- Family income from all sources must not exceed ₹8,00,000 per year
- Maximum 2 sisters from the same family can hold this scholarship
- Girls from 13 specified UTs and North-Eastern States receive automatic awards
- If a student fails or drops out, further scholarship is discontinued

The procedure to be adopted for breaking ties (similar percentiles) shall be as under: - Age: In case qualifying examination percentile does not break ties, then the candidate of elder age will be ranked higher. Annual family income: If above method does not break ties, and then the lower annual family income will settle on in higher ranking for the scholarships.
Will I be eligible for the scholarship if I fail to get promoted to the next semester?
No. The scholarship will be terminated in that case.
