The scheme "Scheme of Assistance for Common Environment Infrastructure" is an umbrella scheme launched by the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat under the Gujarat Industrial Policy. Effective from August 7th, 2020 to August 6th, 2025, it aims to boost industrial growth through financial assistance, modern technologies, and enhanced facilities for industrial parks and clusters. The component “Financial Assistance for Common Environmental Infrastructure Facilities” aims to support industries and organizations in establishing and upgrading environmental management infrastructure. It provides financial aid for projects that promote pollution control, waste management, and environmental sustainability.
Benefits
- Up to 40% financial assistance for private/general projects, capped at ₹50 crore
- Up to 80% assistance for Government Departments, PSUs, and Boards, capped at ₹50 crore
- When co-funded with Central Government, combined GoI + GoG support capped at 75%; institution must contribute at least 25%
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Industries associations, companies, or firms registered under the Societies Act, Trust Act, or Companies Act
- GIDC, Boards, Corporations, SPVs, PSUs, Municipal Corporations, Urban Development Authorities, and similar bodies
- Project must comply with MoEF (Ministry of Environment) and GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) regulations
- Project must remain operational for at least 5 years after completion
- Cannot claim this incentive alongside other state government schemes for the same project component
- Land purchase, development, preliminary expenses, and consultancy fees are not eligible costs
Exclusions
- The Project availing incentives under this scheme will not be entitled to avail incentives under any other scheme of the State Government for the same component, unless specified otherwise. However, the project will be eligible to avail incentives available under schemes of Government of India or any other institutions.
- The following investments are not eligible for financial assistance:
