The scheme “Boat Net” is a component under the “To Increase Fish Seed Production and Inland Fisheries Resources in Tribal Areas” scheme, introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to boost fish production and provide employment to people involved in inland fisheries activities. Under this scheme, financial assistance for boats and nets is provided to individuals, societies, self-help groups, associations, reservoir monopolies, private units, and particularly Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries engaged in inland fisheries.
